Vin Diesel and Paul Walker won’t be the only series stars returning for Fast Five, the fifth installment in Universal’s The Fast & the Furious franchise.
“I’m back!! Roman is back!!,” Tyrese Gibson declared this afternoon via Twitter. Gibson co-starred in the 2003 sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious when Diesel declined to return, but then didn’t reprise his role as Roman Pearce in the subsequent sequels The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious.
Roman was an ex-con and childhood friend of Walker’s protagonist ,Brian O’Conner.
Dwayne Johnson has been rumored to be playing the lawman chasing Diesel and Walker this time around. Justin Lin, who helmed the last two Fast films, will once again direct.

Starting July 4 and filming for seven weeks, director Michael Bay’s “Transformers 3” will shoot in Chicago, which along with Moscow, will be “the focus of the big action sequences,” according to Bay’s official website.
Chicago Film Office director Rich Moskal calls the upcoming big-budget shoot “a blockbuster in every sense of the word; in terms of economic impact, stunts and special effects.”
In a sit-down with the producers last winter, Mayor Daley was agreeable to their city location requests “as he saw the multiple value in this big movie shooting here,” says Moskal. They will shoot along Michigan Avenue and throughout the Loop.
Starting May 10 “T3” will work out of Chicago Film Studios Chicago (the Ryerson steel plant), occupying 300,000 sq. ft. for offices, stages, construction, wardrobe, transportation, etc., according to studio manager Alex Pisseos.
Scheduled for a July 1, 2011 release, “T3” is expected to provide the greatest amount of local union employment since “Public Enemies” filmed here in 2008.
While the plot is being tightly held under wraps, Michael Bay did say in a Blu-ray extra that “T3” can’t get any bigger, so it will have to go “sideways,” in terms of overall scope and action.
He also revealed that the new Autobot being introduced will be a Ferrari 458 Italia.
“T3” will shoot in six other world cities in the continuing saga of the admirable Autobots and dastardly Decepticons, who disguise themselves by transforming into everyday machinery.
Cast members are Shia Labeouf as Sam Witwicky, Megan Fox as his girlfriend, Mikaela, John Malkovich as Sam’s boss, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, and Ken Jeong.

Tyrese Gibson’s cameo in Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video featuring Beyoncé surprised a lot of folks, including Tyrese. Even though the singer/actor revealed on Twitter (@Tyrese4Real) beforehand that he’d be playing the male lead. But how exactly did he end up there?
The actor/singer told VIBE that director Jonas Akerlund contacted him and said that Gaga and Beyoncé wanted him as their guy.
“I was like, ‘Wow, I’m flattered, I’m honored. And then he told me what he wanted me to do in the video,” Tyrese told VIBE. “I was like, ‘Okay that sounds cool.’ And then he was like, ‘At the end, you die.’ [Laughs] I said, ‘What do you mean?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, you die. They poison you and you die. Are you willing to do the video?’ I said, ‘Of course, I’ll do it!’ They’re only two of the biggest powerhouses out, and although I would rather not die in a music video to be seen around the world, I didn’t mind that I was poisoned from Gaga and Beyoncé.”

Hey, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. Just been a little busy.
Transformers 3 has been going very well. We are going to shoot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China. On the talent front, we just locked in Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. Both amazing actors I’ve always wanted to work with. We also just got Ken Jeong, he is the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.”
We start shooting pre-shoots in about one month.
I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.
I also want to thank everyone on this site that donated to the Make -A-Wish charity. We raised $20,000 which I will personally be matching. This is a great charity where they make wishes come true for kids who are very ill. We have had many Kids from Make-A-Wish visit us on our Transformers sets and this time we will be posting video of their visits on Transformers 3.

CinemaBlend.com caught up with Transformers star Josh Duhamel at ShoWest today, and he offered an update on the status of Transformers 3. In case you’re were wondering, it sounds like he’ll be in it.
What’s more Duhamel says he met with Michael Bay yesterday and the Transformers 3 script is now complete. They’re preparing to start filming it this summer. If Bay sticks to what he told us a few weeks ago, that should mean at some point this summer Duhamel and the Transformers cast will show up in Chicago and Moscow, where scenes from the film are slated to be shot. Chicago Blenditos: Beware of evil transforming robots.

Tyrese Gibson is gonna act like the innocent man he’s always been.
Miami prosecutors have dropped a felony citation against the “How You Gonna Act Like That” crooner for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident last month. The move came after his lawyers presented photos and other evidence showing Tyrese did nothing wrong.
“They will take no further action,” the 31-year-old R&B star’s attorney, Jayne Weintraub, tells E! News.
Gibson’s accident occurred on Jan. 4. The woman he hit, Sheena McCleary, claimed she suffered injuries and cops were called to the scene for a routine investigation and the usual exchange of insurance info.
